Caryl is no stranger to the LGBTQ community as she is an out and proud recognized leader, spokesperson and activist. She plays a strong role in the Pride movement, locally, nationally, and globally. Caryl was the Co-President of InterPride (International Association of Pride Organizations) and involved in growing the movement for many years. Caryl has far reaching network of prominent LGBTQ leaders worldwide and has worked with an expansive network of global organizations.
Caryl’s travel experiences have given rise to her ability to thrive in diverse, intercultural environments. Her commitment to LGBTQ rights and worldwide equality is informed by her experience as a fearless and independent traveler to 81 countries and counting...
With over 25 years of working with LGBTQ organizations, Caryl has spent much of her life dedicated to equality, human rights and diversity. She was proud to represent and work with the global LGBTQ community at WorldPride in London, Toronto, and Madrid and has engaged in Pride celebrations and conferences in Barcelona, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Los Vegas, Vancouver, Puerto Vallarta and more...

Caryl has worked with a multitude of LGBTQ Organizations and has reached the community worldwide. She held positions in the International Pride movement and as Co-President and Communications Director and continues to engage in community building in globally. She has also been involved as consultant, board member and volunteer in organizations such as; the Vancouver Pride Society, City of Vancouver Diversity Committee, Qmunity – BC’s Queer Resource Centre, LOUD (Gay and Lesbian Business Association of BC), Vancouver AIDS Memorial, IGLTA (International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association) Vancouver Dyke March, Outlook TV, Friends Help Friends, Mabel League Lesbian Softball Association, Vallarta Pride and ACT LGBT in Mexico.
